Sadly, this topic is not localized to only one part of the country and it could probably be considered a growing epidemic. You're absolutely right....attitude is EVERYTHING! Musicians, clubs, fans or anyone else pointing the finger and others are only making matters worse. Opportunities always exist and people who are truly passionate about something will always find those opportunities. There has been a lot of change in the music world over the last 10 years and as a result, the "scene" looks very different but none the less...it is there, no matter what city we are in. If we want to see it grow and see it thrive we have to focus on and promote the great things that are happening around us rather than complaining about (and in a very real sense promoting) what "sucks".
